Cold Mornings, Warm Oatmeal

Hello, hello! I've dropped by for a real quick post before I dash off to work. I'm so excited to share my spur-of-the-moment oatmeal recipe I whipped up! I actually made it for a snack last night, then had it for part of my breakfast this morning because I liked it so much! I hope you do too :)
There are so many yummy oatmeal recipes out there, I figure, why not have another??

Blackberry Oatmeal

1/4 C instant oats (feel free to do steel-cut overnight in the crockpot instead!)
1/3-1/2 C water, depending on how you like your oatmeal
1/4 C unsweetened vanilla almondmilk (substitute coconut milk if you want extra coconutyness!)
5+ blackberries, cut up into pieces
1 tbsp. raw unsweetened coconut (or sub in sweetened if that's all you have)
cinnamon

Combine your oats and water in a bowl then toss (well, set gently) them in the microwave for a minute at 32 seconds (it is down to a science!). Take out your bowl and add the almondmilk. Sprinkle on as much cinnamon as you'd like, then add the coconut and blackberries. Mix it all up and gobble it down! YUM. The combination of the blackberries and coconut with the almondyness and cinnamon is dynamite (in my own tastebuds' opinion, of course). Feel free to adjust if you'd like! I find this sweet enough, but if you love sugar you could add some too, or even some agave. Slivered almonds would be fabulous with the rest of this as well, I imagine. :)

Look at those scrumptious blackberries! On sale at Aldi, too! :)

I hope the recipe makes up for this itty bitty post! :) Have an amazing rest of your Wednesday, and drink an extra cup of coffee for me ;)
